Interior Ministry Announces Enrollment of Nearly 11,000 Personnel in Literacy Program

Baghdad: Ministry of Interior-MOI has enrolled nearly 11,000 of its personnel in an illiteracy eradication program, the MOI senior deputy minister, Hussein al-Awadi, said on Saturday. Speaking at the first conference organized by the Executive Agency for illiteracy eradication in coordination with the Interior Ministry and the Federal Police Command, al-Awadi said the ministry fully supports the illiteracy eradication program and is mobilizing all available resources to ensure its success. According to Iraqi News Agency, al-Awadi highlighted that the ministry would establish educational centers, provide the necessary facilities, and coordinate with the Executive Agency for illiteracy eradication to help improve the educational standards of ministry personnel. Al-Awadi added that Education Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Commission for illiteracy eradication Abdul Karim Abtan al-Jubouri had announced the inclusion of nearly 11,000 Interior Ministry personnel in the illiteracy eradication program.
