Iran and Oman in Talks to Regulate Passage Through Strait of Hormuz

Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that negotiations with the Sultanate of Oman to regulate safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz are ongoing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei stated in a press briefing that the discussions are aimed at establishing safe routes for ships navigating to and from the Strait of Hormuz.

He emphasized that efforts are underway to develop mechanisms for future arrangements to manage navigation, ensuring the sovereign rights and national security of both nations.
