Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, engaged in a telephone conversation on Sunday afternoon to discuss bilateral relations, as well as key regional and international developments.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the phone call, the two sides reviewed the growing relations between Tehran and Riyadh, emphasizing the importance of continued political consultations and enhanced bilateral cooperation in support of shared interests and regional stability.

Referring to developments in southern Yemen, Iran’s foreign minister stressed the need to preserve the country’s unity and territorial integrity and underscored the importance of implementing a political roadmap to achieve lasting peace. He also condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks against Lebanon, highlighting the responsibility of the international community, particularly the guarantors of the ceasefire, to halt these actions and prevent fu
rther violations against the Lebanese people.

The Saudi foreign minister emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation among regional countries to safeguard peace and stability. He also stressed the need to hold the Israeli regime accountable for its actions and underlined the role of regional cooperation in de-escalating tensions.

The telephone call took place within the framework of ongoing consultations between the two countries, aimed at strengthening regional security and stability.
