Iranian Army Asserts Control Over Strategic Strait of Hormuz

Amol: The Iranian army has declared its strategic capability to control the Strait of Hormuz amid potential American interventions in the region. Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia, the Iranian Army spokesman, emphasized Iran's preparedness and strategic positioning during a memorial service held in Amol on Thursday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Akrami Nia stated that Iran has a decisive plan to manage the Strait of Hormuz, countering any potential threats or actions from the United States. He addressed the misconception that recent attacks on Iranian bases on the southern coast by the United States could lead to American control over the strait. Akrami Nia refuted this by affirming, "This perception is incorrect."

He further highlighted Iran's strategic advantage, asserting that the Islamic Republic's control over the Strait of Hormuz is comprehensive and not restricted to its coastal regions or nearby islands. Iran's capability extends to controlling the strait from anywhere within its territory.
