Tehran: The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, received today, Sunday, the Chief of Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili. The Iranian “Tasnim” Agency reported that Al-Ruwaili arrived in Tehran today at the head of a high-level military delegation. After his arrival, he met with Major General Mohammad Bagheri.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Major General Bagheri expressed the potential for enhancing cooperation between the armed forces of Iran and Saudi Arabia in various domains such as defense and exchange of experiences, education, and sports. He also conveyed the hope for the participation of the Saudi Navy in Iranian naval maneuvers.

Developing defense diplomacy and expanding bilateral cooperation were highlighted as the primary focuses of this meeting, as reported by “Tasnim”.
