Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized that peace in the region is contingent upon the cessation of aggression against Gaza and Lebanon. Araqchi made these remarks during a meeting with diplomatic representatives in Tehran, underlining Iran’s stance on the necessity for collective diplomatic efforts to halt what he described as aggression and crimes by the Zionist entity.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi urged the international community to undertake immediate, effective, and decisive actions to address the situation. He warned that without a halt to the aggression on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, the region would remain devoid of peace. Furthermore, Araqchi called for an immediate end to the conflicts in Lebanon and Palestine and urged the UN Security Council to take measures against the Zionist regime. He advocated for strict sanctions under Chapter VII of the UN Charter to be imposed on the entity to prevent further war and bloodshed.
