Baghdad: Iranian Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, engaged in discussions surrounding bilateral relations and mutual interests on Sunday. Araqchi highlighted the significance of ensuring that personal statements do not influence the valuable relations between the two nations.

According to Iraqi News Agency, during a phone conversation, the foreign ministers examined the current developments in the region and their potential impact on regional security and stability. The dialogue underscored the necessity of ongoing bilateral consultations and coordination aimed at preventing tensions and fostering peace and security in the region.

“Araghchi affirmed during the call that relations between Iran and Iraq are deep-rooted and strategic, built on profound historical, cultural, and religious ties and shared interests between the two peoples,” as stated in the conversation.
