Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Saturday that the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the United States will not take place tomorrow.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei stated in a press conference that while the signing will not occur tomorrow, it is not unlikely that it will happen in the coming days. Baghaei emphasized that the Islamabad memorandum of understanding aims to end the ongoing war at this stage without addressing the nuclear issue.
Baghaei further clarified that the memorandum is not a final agreement with Washington but rather an understanding that tackles the primary points of disagreement and supports the cessation of the conflict. He noted that the focus remains solely on ending the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon, owing to past experiences.
