Qasr: The Iranian army announced that its ground forces have begun maneuvers in the general area of the border city of Qasr, located in Kermanshah province in western Iran. These exercises are set to continue for nine days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governor of Qasr Shirin city, Mohammad Najafi, urged residents in the western border areas of Kermanshah to cooperate by avoiding travel to the areas designated for the maneuvers. Additional information about the maneuvers and potential restrictions will be provided through official statements in the coming days.

The head of the city’s Security Council stated that the objective of these maneuvers is to enhance military readiness, showcase the defensive capabilities of the armed forces, and strengthen the region’s security. The exercises aim to send a message that the armed forces are fully prepared to protect Iranian territory against any threats.

Qasr-e Shirin is situated to the west of Kermanshah province, sharing a border of over 186 kilometers with Iraq. Last week, the Iranian army conducted extensive military maneuvers in the country’s western and northern regions.
