Iranian Parliament Speaker to Lead Delegation to Iraq for Strategic Talks


Baghdad: The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, is set to visit Iraq tomorrow, leading a high-level parliamentary delegation. The visit is scheduled for Wednesday and aims at fostering discussions on regional developments and strengthening strategic cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the purpose of Ghalibaf’s visit is to explore joint solutions contributing to stability and security in the West Asia region. The itinerary includes meetings with senior officials and prominent figures in Iraq. Discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral relations, border security, combating terrorism, and developing economic cooperation. The talks will also address the implementation of existing joint agreements between the two countries.



The visit is part of ongoing efforts to bolster coordination and cooperation between Iraq and Iran, focusing on issues of common interest and regional developments.
