Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of establishing good relations with neighboring countries, aligning with the directives of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his successor, Mojtaba, asserting that this principle is “inevitable.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Pezeshkian, in televised remarks, highlighted the significance of “reaching a common language with Islamic countries.” His statements come amid a period of significant diplomatic activity in Iran. Recently, Tehran hosted Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, along with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi, as part of efforts to de-escalate regional tensions, particularly concerning the Strait of Hormuz and the war in Gaza.

The president’s remarks underscore the broader strategy of Iranian foreign policy, which aims to strengthen ties with neighboring and Islamic countries. This approach is part of a broader initiative to counter Western pressure and economic sanctions.
