Dushanbe: Iran’s Chief of Police Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan, currently visiting Tajikistan, has expressed the Islamic Republic’s willingness to enhance cooperation and share experiences with the Central Asian nation’s law enforcement agencies. Radan’s remarks were delivered during a ceremony at the Police Academy of the Republic of Tajikistan, where he was honored with an honorary doctorate.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Radan, who leads a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Dushanbe at the invitation of Tajik Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Ramazan Rahimzadeh. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral law enforcement cooperation between the two countries. During discussions, Radan and Rahimzadeh exchanged views on addressing issues such as terrorism, drug trafficking, organized crime, and educational collaboration.

The ongoing security cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan is perceived as an opportunity for both nations to tackle mutual challenges within the region. Radan’s visit is part of the expanding partnership between Iran and Tajikistan, which share deep historical, cultural, and linguistic connections.

This year has seen notable progress in the Iran-Tajikistan relationship, marked by several high-level visits and approximately two dozen agreements in areas including trade, energy, infrastructure, and cultural exchange.
