Tehran: Iran’s Revolutionary Guard vowed on Sunday to retaliate for the attack on Larak Island in Hormozgan province, accusing the United States and Israel of being behind it.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Revolutionary Guard issued a statement condemning the attack, labeling it as an act of aggression by the “American-Israeli enemy.” The statement claimed that the adversaries, in a bid to address their own internal issues and declining influence in the region, carried out the attack on Larak Island.

The Revolutionary Guard reported that the assault resulted in both fatalities and injuries among its fighters and patriots, promising that the act would not go unanswered. They stressed that there would be a response from “the sons of Islamic Iran,” which would ensure the aggressors face consequences.

Media reports suggested that US forces targeted two Iranian missile launch sites on Larak Island. It was reported that members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were observed preparing to deploy missiles equipped with naval mines in the critical Strait of Hormuz.
