Iraq and Egypt Discuss Expanding Cooperation in the Field of Aviation and Exchanging Expertise


Baghdad: The Iraqi Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Qahtan Taha Khalaf, met with the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh El-Hefny, to discuss expanding cooperation in civil aviation and air transport, as well as exchanging visits and expertise.



According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement issued by the Iraqi Embassy in Egypt detailed the meeting between the two officials, highlighting ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Egypt. The focus of the discussions was on developing prospects for joint cooperation that would serve the interests of both countries and their citizens.



The meeting emphasized expanding cooperation in civil aviation and air transport. Both sides considered the exchange of visits and expertise between officials and specialists, particularly in technical and training fields, which would contribute to developing capabilities and enhancing the efficiency of specialized personnel.



The statement also mentioned discussions on the possibility of increasing the number of flights between Iraq and Egypt. This initiative is expected to enhance movement and communication between the two countries and support economic, tourism, and trade relations.
