Baghdad: Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani engaged in discussions with Janet Alberda, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Baghdad, focusing on joint cooperation in judicial and legal relations. The talks aimed at developing mechanisms for joint work to benefit the interests of both countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Shawani emphasized the Ministry of Justice’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations with the Netherlands, particularly in the realm of human rights and the exchange of judicial expertise. He acknowledged the support extended by the Kingdom during Iraq’s war against terrorism.

In response, the Dutch Ambassador expressed her country’s eagerness to assist Iraq in its human rights initiatives. She acknowledged Iraq’s dedication to adhering to international standards in these efforts.
