Iraq and Turkey Discuss Increasing Oil Export Capacities via Ceyhan


Ceyhan:Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi confirmed discussions on enhancing export capabilities through Ceyhan during his recent visit to Turkey.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Abadi met with the Turkish Minister of Energy to work on the Iraqi-Turkish agreement concerning oil exports through Ceyhan. The talks also covered the involvement of Turkish companies in Iraqi oil and gas projects.



The Minister emphasized the significance of Turkish participation in these projects for both governments, especially Iraq, as it attracts qualified international firms to develop and invest in oil and gas resources efficiently.



The discussions included the formation of joint technical committees focused on developing oil fields and building oil facility infrastructure. Partnerships between Turkish and Iraqi companies were also on the agenda, with hopes for a smooth process aligning with governmental strategies and the Ministry’s plans.
