Baghdad: The Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein underscored the necessity for ongoing coordination and consultation between Iraq and Turkey during a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement highlighting that Minister Hussein met with Ambassador Inan to discuss several mutual interests. A key focus of the discussion was the follow-up on the outcomes of Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi’s recent visit to Ankara.

The Minister directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure that the results of the visit are pursued actively, in collaboration with relevant Iraqi ministries and agencies, to convert agreements into actionable steps that would enhance bilateral cooperation.

The dialogue also covered preparations for an upcoming meeting between Minister Hussein and his Turkish counterpart. Additionally, discussions included the arrangements for commemorating the centenary of Iraqi-Turkish relations.

Fuad Hussein reiterated the importance of sustained coordination and consultation to fortify bilateral relations and bolster prospects for collaboration across various sectors.
