Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi has hailed Iraq's recent agreement with Turkey concerning the transportation and loading of Iraqi crude oil via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to the port of Ceyhan as a significant strategic achievement.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the agreement was announced by al-Zubaidi in a tweet, where he highlighted its importance for ensuring the smooth flow of Iraq's oil exports and enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations. The agreement stipulates that a minimum of 750,000 barrels per day of Iraqi crude oil will be transported through the pipeline.

Al-Zubaidi further elaborated that Iraqi and Turkish companies are set to commence operations under this agreement. Both governments are also committed to working within a structured framework to finalize a comprehensive agreement that will cover oil, electricity, water resources, and other areas of cooperation, aiming to strengthen mutual interests and support development and stability.
