Iraq Condemns Terrorist Bombings in Damascus

Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Tuesday the terrorist bombings that targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, affirming that Iraq rejects all forms of terrorism, extremism, and violence, regardless of the motives or justifications.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its strongest condemnation of the terrorist bombings carried out using a number of improvised explosive devices, which targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, resulting in injuries to a number of innocent civilians."

The Ministry emphasized that "these criminal acts represent a flagrant violation of the security and stability of civilians and aim to undermine security and stability in Syria," reiterating "Iraq's firm and unwavering stance in rejecting all forms of terrorism, extremism, and violence, whatever their motives or justifications."

The statement continued, "We express Iraq's solidarity with Syria in confronting these terrorist attacks, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
