Baghdad: The Foreign Ministry on Saturday expressed its condolences to the government and people of Indonesia over the victims of the recent earthquake that struck several parts of the country.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the ministry expressed Iraq’s solidarity with the Republic of Indonesia following the earthquake, which struck several areas of the country, resulting in deaths and injuries as well as extensive material damage.

The ministry extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Indonesian government and people and to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery and the authorities success in their efforts to mitigate the effects of the disaster and overcome its aftermath.
