Karbala: Karbala police detachments arrested a group of foreign workers who stole 39 million Iraqi dinars. A police statement indicated that detachments from the Karbala Anti-Crime Department were able to uncover the circumstances surrounding the theft of 39 million dinars from a foam and furniture factory in the Qantara al-Salam area. A number of foreign workers had entered the factory at night through the cooling vents, seized the keys to the safe, and stolen its contents.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, after careful investigation and follow-up, the suspects were tracked down and arrested outside the province. The statement further noted that the detachments successfully recovered the stolen money, despite the perpetrators having transferred it to their families in Pakistan. Legal measures have been taken against them, and they have been referred to the judiciary to receive their just punishment.
