Iraq: The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq ranked third among the largest oil exporters to the United States last week.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the EIA reported that U.S. crude oil imports averaged 6 million barrels per day last week from ten major countries, marking an increase of 122,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week’s average of 5.878 million barrels per day.
The EIA’s statistics revealed that Iraq’s oil exports to the U.S. averaged 371,000 barrels per day, a significant increase of 122,000 barrels per day from the previous week’s 249,000 barrels per day. This rise positioned Iraq as the third largest supplier to the U.S. last week.
In its analysis, the EIA highlighted that the largest share of U.S. oil imports last week came from Canada, with Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Colombia following. The data also showed that U.S. crude oil imports continued to be sourced from Brazil, Libya, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Nigeria.
