Baghdad: Iraq welcomed the diplomatic efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman in mediating between the United States and the relevant authorities in Sana’a.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its welcome for the diplomatic efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman in mediating between the United States and the relevant authorities in Sana’a, which come within the framework of supporting constructive dialogue and peaceful solutions to regional crises.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for promoting peace and stability in the region, bringing viewpoints closer, and building bridges of trust between the various parties, which would contribute to achieving mutual understanding.

It stressed the importance of supporting efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation in Yemen and contributing to achieving comprehensive national reconciliation that would end the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
