Baghdad: Iraq is set to receive the key to Baghdad, the Arab Tourism Capital 2025, early next month. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Fadhel Al-Badarani, confirmed that the handover is scheduled for February 2nd.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Badarani announced via a tweet on the X platform that the Arab Tourism Organization will officially present the key to Iraq. This prestigious event marks Baghdad's designation as the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2025, highlighting its cultural and historical significance.

Al-Badarani also mentioned that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will kick off various activities across the city's heritage and cultural archaeological sites as well as public spaces. The slogan of the tourist capital will be prominently displayed throughout Baghdad, including its streets and airports, celebrating the city's new title and enhancing its appeal to global tourists.
