Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi expressed Iraq’s welcome of the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States and its support for efforts to consolidate security and stability.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a press release that “Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh, who conveyed to the Prime Minister the greetings of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and affirmed his country’s desire to develop relations and support mutual coordination on issues of common interest.”

The statement highlighted the meeting’s focus on reviewing the overall prospects for cooperation and partnership between the two countries and exploring ways to strengthen them across various levels and fields. The discussions aimed to positively impact bilateral interests and enhance mutual collaboration.
