Baghdad: Iraqi Air Defense Commander Lieutenant General Muhannad Ghaleb Al-Asadi confirmed today that the armed forces and air defense systems are performing their natural role to protect Iraq, its airspace, and vital targets.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Asadi stated in a press release that the activation of air defense systems takes place periodically as part of standard procedures aimed at safeguarding all vital targets across Iraq. He emphasized that these measures are routine and essential for the country’s defense strategy.
Al-Asadi further highlighted that the Iraqi armed forces, including the air defense systems, are consistently engaged in efforts to ensure the protection of the nation’s airspace and critical infrastructure, especially in anticipation of any potential emergencies.
