Iraqi Air Force Conducts Successful Airstrikes Against Terrorists in Salahuddin and Kirkuk

Baghdad: Iraqi warplanes have successfully executed airstrikes that resulted in the elimination of a group of terrorists and the destruction of their hideouts in the Salahuddin and Kirkuk provinces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Joint Operations Command announced that Iraqi F-16 jets carried out the airstrikes with precision, following accurate intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and in coordination with the Joint Operations targeting cell. The Security Media Cell stated that this offensive approach is part of ongoing efforts to pursue remnants of terrorist groups.

The first airstrike was conducted on August 12 in Wadi al-Shay, east of the Salahuddin operations sector. The target was a key terrorist hideout, which was completely destroyed, resulting in the deaths of several terrorists inside. Following days of surveillance, this strike was executed to neutralize the threat effectively.

Another airstrike occurred on August 14 within the Kirkuk operations sector. The operation achieved direct hits on a terrorist hideout, further diminishing the capabilities of the terrorist groups in the region. The Joint Operations Command emphasized their commitment to eradicating terrorist hideouts, ensuring no safe havens remain for terrorists on Iraqi soil.
