Baghdad:The Ministry of Transport has confirmed that Iraqi airspace remains open to air traffic, with flights continuing as per the approved navigational procedures. There are no bans or suspensions on flights, nor mandatory changes to their routes.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ali Al-Khalidi, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Transport, stated that the Iraqi government has ensured all air routes are available for air traffic. The General Company for Airports Management and Air Navigation has clarified that a specific airspace has been allocated for training purposes as part of an annual shooting exercise. Al-Khalidi urged media outlets and social media users to adhere to accuracy and rely on official sources when reporting news related to air traffic.
