Iraqi Artists Syndicate Hosts Baghdad Workshop to Foster Young Acting Talents


Baghdad: The Iraqi Artists Syndicate recently organized a four-day workshop in Baghdad focused on actor training, presented by renowned artist Mohammed Hashim. The workshop saw the participation of around 50 young male and female trainees eager to delve into the arts of acting and performance.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop attracted a number of artists and individuals interested in the arts. Esteemed artist Ali Al-Khasaf, director Samer Hikmat, and artist Inas Talib were among those present, sharing their experiences and insights with the participants. Their involvement enriched the workshop’s themes, offering a wealth of knowledge to aspiring actors.



Supervised directly by Dr. Jabbar Jawdi, head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate and Director General of the Cinema and Theater Department, the event was managed by artist Mohammed Abdul-Munim. It was organized by the Cinema Division of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, led by artist Saad Abdullah. The workshop comprised various practical exercises and topics aimed at honing participants’ acting skills and enhancing their performance capabilities.



The head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate expressed the syndicate’s commitment to nurturing young creative talents who show dedication and a keen interest in knowledge and development. He emphasized the syndicate’s ongoing support for such initiatives, which aim to build a new generation of artists equipped to continue the legacy of Iraqi creativity.



Participants widely praised the workshop, appreciating the opportunity for training and direct engagement with experienced artists and professionals.
