Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Industries Union, Adel Akab, engaged in discussions with the Hikma parliamentary bloc regarding the current state of Iraq’s private industrial sector, focusing on the significant challenges and obstacles faced by industrial project owners.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, various issues concerning national industry were reviewed. Key topics included support for local products, streamlining procedures for industrial projects, and addressing the obstacles hindering the operations of the private sector. The discussions aimed to contribute to the development of local production and to bolster the role of industry in the national economy.

The head of the Industries Union highlighted the importance of cooperation and coordination between Parliament and the industrial sector, emphasizing the need to work towards practical solutions to the challenges faced by industrialists. This initiative aims to create a conducive environment for the growth of industrial projects, increase production, and generate employment opportunities.
