Baghdad: The Iraqi government strongly condemns and denounces the ongoing brutal siege imposed by the occupying forces on the people of Gaza, describing it as a systematic and inhumane policy aimed at starving the already devastated Palestinian population.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in an official statement, the government emphasized that the heartbreaking scenes of starving children lining up for a morsel of food, and men and women desperately crowding around the few aid trucks, which have turned into deadly traps targeted by the occupation forces, represent horrific and immoral practices that demand immediate international intervention to lift the blockade and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need.

The statement further stressed that the international community, including major powers and global institutions, now faces a real test of its commitment to upholding international law, maintaining peace, and defending human rights and dignity. The Iraqi government calls for an immediate end to the starvation policy imposed on the people of Gaza and urges international actors to pressure the Israeli authorities to allow the urgent entry of humanitarian relief into the besieged enclave.
