Riyadh:The Iraqi government has condemned the recent attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The assault led to casualties among civilians, inflicted material damage, and disrupted regional security and stability.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, stated that the Iraqi government opposes any military escalation and acts of aggression, especially those targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure. Such actions, he noted, deepen disputes and negatively impact regional peace.
Al-Numan emphasized the need for a comprehensive halt to military operations to protect civilians and safeguard civilian facilities. He reiterated Iraq’s commitment to dialogue and understanding over military solutions, stressing the importance of peace, freedom of navigation, and economic development in the region.
