Baghdad: The Women’s Affairs Division at the Iraqi House of Fashion recently hosted a specialized workshop titled “Glass Painting,” focusing on refining and developing the artistic and craft skills of participants. The workshop spanned two consecutive days, Monday and Tuesday, July 13 and 14, 2026, and was held in the Training Division’s hall at the House. It attracted a large number of participants and enthusiasts of the ancient art of glass painting.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop was organized in collaboration with trainer Abeer Alaa, who delivered a comprehensive session on the most prominent techniques and modern tools used in painting and coloring on glass. Participants learned how to transform simple pieces of glass into exquisite works of art that reflect beauty and authenticity. This initiative is part of a series of activities and workshops organized by the Women’s Affairs Division in collaboration with various departments of the House, aimed at promoting artistic skills and cultural heritage.
