Baghdad: The Iraqi National Intelligence Service has denied claims that the government received warnings about imminent military strikes against Iraq. This denial comes in response to a report suggesting that warnings were sent from an Arab country and a Western intelligence agency.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service addressed the report published by al-Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper on December 20, 2025. The report alleged that the Iraqi government had received two warning messages concerning potential military strikes.

The Service has categorically denied the accuracy of the report, stating that no such messages were received by the government. Furthermore, the statement emphasized the importance of media outlets maintaining accuracy, especially concerning matters that impact national security.
