Baghdad: A Ministry of Trade official met with the Jordanian ambassador to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in the economic field and exhibitions. The Director General of the Iraqi General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services, Muthanna Ramadan Alwan, engaged in talks with Maher Salem Al-Tarawneh, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Iraq, focusing on the development of bilateral relations and joint efforts in the economic and exhibition sectors.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Trade highlighted in a press release that discussions were held regarding the participation of Jordanian companies in specialized Iraqi exhibitions. Preparations for the 50th Baghdad International Fair were also a topic of discussion, with both parties agreeing that these efforts will expand trade and investment cooperation between Iraq and Jordan.
Both sides emphasized the need to support the involvement of the private sector and to provide more opportunities for trade exchange. This initiative aims to further strengthen economic relations between the two neighboring countries.
