Baghdad: The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate has announced the lifting of restrictions on journalists in the fourth batch, allowing those affected to resume their professional duties. The decision comes as a relief to journalists whose registrations were previously revoked due to their failure to renew ID cards over varying periods.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the syndicate’s council carefully reviewed the requests for lifting restrictions. The council decided to reinstate the registrations after considering the reasons behind the initial revocations. The decision applies to journalists whose names were listed after a thorough evaluation of their cases.

The syndicate has urged affected colleagues to visit its headquarters to finalize the renewal procedures for their ID cards. Journalists are required to bring a recent personal photograph in formal attire to complete the process.
