Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Jurists Union, Qasim Ta’ma Jawda, has engaged in discussions with Beno®t Comborio, Charg© d’Affaires of the French Embassy in Baghdad, to explore opportunities for developing legal and human rights relations between Iraq and France.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Jurists Union issued a press release highlighting that the meeting covered various topics of mutual interest, aiming to strengthen cooperation and coordination. The discussions focused on enhancing legal and human rights relations and facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge. The parties also considered several proposals to open up more avenues for future collaboration.

The head of the Union reiterated the importance of expanding ties with international institutions and organizations, which would bolster Iraq’s presence in legal and human rights forums. This initiative aims to meet the aspirations of Iraqi jurists and contribute positively to the international legal community.

Meanwhile, the French Charg© d’Affaires, Beno®t Comborio, expressed his enthusiasm for fostering communication and collaboration with the Iraqi Jurists Union. He underscored the significance of ongoing meetings and the exchange of viewpoints to advance mutual interests.
