Baghdad: Weather forecasters in Iraq have predicted a further drop in temperatures over the coming days. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Meteorological Organization has released a statement indicating that Monday’s weather will be clear, with a general decrease in temperatures across all governorates.

The statement detailed the maximum temperatures expected on Monday, with Dohuk and Sulaimaniyah at 34°C, Nineveh and Erbil at 36°C, Anbar and Kirkuk at 37°C, Salah al-Din at 38°C, Baghdad and Diyala at 39°C, Karbala at 40°C, Wasit, Babylon, and Najaf at 41°C, Diwaniyah and Muthanna at 42°C, Maysan and Dhi Qar at 44°C, and Basra reaching 46°C.

The weather outlook for Tuesday is generally clear, with the exception of partly cloudy conditions in the northern mountainous areas. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the central and northern regions while remaining stable in the southern areas.

For Wednesday, weather conditions will remain mostly clear, with partly cloudy skies continuing in the northern mountainous regions. Temperature levels will be consistent in the central and southern regions, with a slight increase expected in the north.

By Thursday, the forecast predicts generally clear weather, with temperatures slightly increasing compared to the previous day, continuing the trend of gradual warming throughout the week.
