Baghdad: The Ministry of Agriculture is taking part in a specialized course on quality management and food safety (ISO 22000) in collaboration with the Agricultural Engineers Syndicate. This initiative is led by the Agricultural Business Incubators Department at the Minister’s Office, which demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the skills of agricultural engineers and staff, particularly those involved in the agricultural incubators program.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the course, titled “ISO 22000 and Total Quality Management for Food,” was organized by the Consulting Office of the Agricultural Engineers Syndicate. It was carried out in partnership with the Al-Marabi Foundation for Sustainable Development and supported by the Head of the Iraqi Agricultural Engineers Syndicate, Agricultural Consultant Engineer Alaa Hassan Ali.

The training, conducted by Dr. Ilham Ismail Al-Shammari, aimed to equip participants with knowledge about the international standard ISO 22000 for food safety management systems and the principles of Total Quality Management. The session provided insights into practical application mechanisms within food establishments and entrepreneurial ventures, thereby aiming to elevate the quality of national products and boost their market competitiveness.
