Washington: Iraqi oil exports to the United States last month amounted to more than 6 million barrels. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Tuesday that Iraqi oil exports to the United States exceeded 6 million barrels during February.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the EIA stated in a table that Iraq exported 6.552 million barrels of crude oil to the U.S. during February, which marked a decrease from January’s export figures of 7.037 million barrels. The report detailed that Iraq’s average daily crude oil exports to the U.S. were 249,000 barrels per day during the first week of February, increased to 371,000 barrels per day in the second week, then decreased to 160,000 barrels per day in the third week, and further decreased to 154,000 barrels per day in the fourth week.

The EIA clarified that Iraq ranked fourth in terms of oil exports to the U.S. last month. Canada held the top position as the largest exporter of oil to the U.S., followed by Saudi Arabia, and Mexico in third place. Furthermore, the data indicated that Iraq was the second-largest Arab oil exporter to America, following Saudi Arabia, with Libya coming in third among Arab countries.
