Iraqi Parliament Approves Members for Seven New Committees

Baghdad: The Iraqi Parliament, in its session this Wednesday evening, voted on the members of seven new parliamentary committees. These committees include the Committee on Regions and Non-Regionalized Provinces, Strategic Planning, the Government Program, and Endowments. Additionally, members were approved for the Committee on Health and Combating Psychotropic Substances and the Committee on Higher Education.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Parliament also voted on the members of the Committee on Education, the Committee on Labor, Civil Society Organizations, Federal Public Service, and Sports. Moreover, the members for the Committee on Transportation, Communications, and Governance, as well as the Committee on Border Crossings and Protection of National Products, were also approved during this session.

The establishment of these committees marks a significant step in the operational framework of the Iraqi Parliament, aiming to address various national issues through specialized focus areas. The newly voted members are expected to commence their duties promptly to tackle the pressing challenges within their respective domains.
