Iraqi Parliament Cancels Appointment of Civil Service Council Head and Deputies

Baghdad: The House of Representatives in Iraq voted to cancel the appointment of the head of the Civil Service Council and his two deputies during its session today. In a move to address the leadership of the council, the parliament recommended that the administration be handed over to the oldest member of the council.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the session also saw the addition of a new item to the parliament's agenda. This included reading the report from the Security and Defense Committee concerning the martyrdom of a fisherman from Basra Governorate.
