Iraqi Parliament Cancels Appointments of Federal Civil Service Council Leaders

Baghdad: Officially, the House of Representatives issues a decision to cancel the appointment of the head of the Federal Civil Service Council and his deputy. The Iraqi Parliament, during its session today, Sunday, issued a parliamentary resolution to cancel the appointment of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Council, due to their failure to take the legal oath before Parliament prior to assuming their duties, in accordance with the provisions of the law.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision was made during a parliamentary session where members highlighted the importance of adhering to legal procedures, including the requirement for officials to take an oath before assuming office. The cancellation underscores the parliament’s commitment to enforcing legal standards and ensuring that officials fulfill all necessary requirements before undertaking their roles.
