Iraqi Parliamentary Delegation Visits Ankara to Boost Cooperation with Turkey


Ankara: An Iraqi parliamentary delegation, led by MP Jabbar Al-Kinani, Chairman of the Iraqi-Turkish Friendship Committee, has arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, for an official visit aimed at enhancing parliamentary cooperation with Turkey. The delegation’s visit comes at the invitation of MP Muhammad Mufid Aydin, Chairman of the Turkish-Iraqi Friendship Committee in the Turkish Parliament.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the delegation was welcomed in Ankara by MP Farouk Kilij, a member of the Turkish-Iraqi Friendship Committee, alongside the Iraqi Ambassador to Turkey, Majid Al-Lajmawi. The visit underscores the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations.



A statement from the Iraqi Embassy in Turkey highlighted that both sides are set to hold an official meeting at the Turkish Parliament headquarters. The meeting will focus on discussing various issues of mutual interest, with a primary emphasis on bolstering parliamentary and political cooperation. The discussions aim to further develop relations between the legislative institutions of Baghdad and Ankara.
