Baghdad: The Iraqi Red Crescent provided humanitarian services to more than 1.25 million foreign and Iraqi visitors during the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The Society announced that it offered humanitarian, health, and medical services to 1,272,356 pilgrims during the 2016 Arba'een pilgrimage. These services were delivered by teams deployed across various provinces and along the routes leading to the holy city of Karbala.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society's statement revealed the breadth of assistance provided to the pilgrims. The services encompassed a range of humanitarian, health, and medical support to ensure the well-being of the participants during the pilgrimage. The Society's teams were strategically positioned to aid the massive influx of pilgrims, enhancing the safety and health conditions along the journey to Karbala.
