Baghdad:Al-Hakim: Head of the State Administration Coalition, Ammar al-Hakim, affirmed that Sovereignty Day represents a message of Iraqi recovery and a testament from Coalition nations to Iraq’s ability to manage its own security affairs without relying on others.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim received Hadi Al-Amiri, Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, and both exchanged congratulations on Sovereignty Day, which marks the conclusion of the International Coalition’s mission to combat ISIS. They discussed the implications of this milestone.
Al-Hakim reiterated that this day signifies a message of Iraqi recovery and serves as a testament from Coalition nations to Iraq’s capacity to handle its security dossier independently. He stated that it also marks a crucial starting point for addressing the issue of weapons held outside state control comprehensively.
He emphasized the importance of confronting challenges, particularly economic ones, with greater internal cohesion.
Regarding regional affairs, both Al-Hakim and Al-Amiri stressed the necessity of restoring stability to the region and ending the state of war and escalation.
