Hanoi:Minister of Agriculture Abdul Rahim Jassim Al-Shammari engaged in discussions with Spanish Ambassador to Iraq Alicia Rico Perez del Pulgar on enhancing cooperation in the agricultural sector between Iraq and Spain. The talks focused on expanding the exchange of expertise and modern technologies to bolster agricultural production.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister emphasized the significance of strengthening bilateral relations and exploring broader avenues for collaboration. Key areas of interest include agricultural extension, technical expertise exchange, and the development of modern irrigation technologies, all aimed at leveraging Spanish experience and modern technologies to support Iraq’s agricultural development.
The Spanish ambassador expressed her country’s willingness to reinforce relations and cooperation with Iraq, particularly in sharing expertise, experience, and technologies in the agricultural sector.
The meeting was attended by the ministry’s Technical Deputy Minister Mithaq Abdul Hussein Al-Khafaji, as well as directors from the Planning and Follow-up and Veterinary Departments, and a representative from Shamsa Company, an Iraqi company recognized in Spain.
