Siena:US Presidential Envoy Tom Barrack announced a shift in the focus of Iraqi-US relations from security to economic cooperation.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Barrack expressed this change during his visit to Iraq, where he met with Chargé d’Affaires Steve Fagin. Barrack emphasized that Fagin’s extensive experience in Iraq and the region positions him well to further the President’s objectives.

Barrack described the current leadership as critical for guiding the transition to a relationship that prioritizes economic collaboration and shared interests between the United States and Iraq.
