Basra: An Iraqi man committed suicide while working on a Turkish ship in Khor Al-Zubair port, west of Basra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source stated that a man in his thirties from Al-Deir area committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope from the ceiling of his cabin on the Turkish ship KPS-15 in Khor Al-Zubair port. The reasons for his suicide are unknown.

The source added, “The body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department, and the police have begun taking the necessary legal measures to determine the circumstances of the incident.”
