Iraq’s Foreign Ministry Reaffirms Commitment to Balanced Foreign Policy

Accra:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs marked Iraq’s National Day by emphasizing its commitment to maintaining a balanced foreign policy that respects the sovereignty of other states and strengthens international relations.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the ministry highlighted that Iraq’s National Day is a significant historical event, celebrating Iraq’s independence and sovereignty since joining the League of Nations in 1932. This day underscores Iraq’s status as an independent nation and its role as an active member of the international community.

The statement from the ministry reflected on the sacrifice and achievements of the Iraqi people in defending their homeland, emphasizing national diversity as a source of strength and prosperity. It stated that the unity and cohesion of Iraqis are fundamental in building the state and enhancing its international standing.
